YoungGirlWarrior:

I was saved about 20 years ago and have wrestled with the question you have many times. Ultimately, God is in control and will save your friends if it is part of His plan. If your friends have hard hearts right now I would pray for them regularly and just be their friend. Be in the world but not of it. Those that hate God need to be loved. I would not push the issue of God as much as love and pray for them right now. Keep us updated. Any names so I can pray for them too?

In Him.

Ask God to use you as a tool.

Ask God to use you as a tool. I have found that if God wants to use me he will put the right words in my mouth to reach a person that needs to hear His word. I turn it over completely to Him and somehow it turns out okay. God will let you know when someone needs to hear from Him. If you have a tugging in your heart to say something to someone, pray that He will take over and get His message across. Give Him all the praise and glory. I have found that God can use the worst sinners even to get His word across. If you do not feel that the time is right to spread His word, then just live the way He wants you to. Sometimes just being quiet and listening is a help. When you turn yourself completely over to God, He will use you in ways that you cannot understand but the person that needs to understand will. Let go and let God do what he needs to do.

well i'm new here.. but like

well i'm new here.. but like you have already read.. just give it to god.. and no matter what he says you stiill did gods will.. even if your friend blows you off you still planted a seed in his or hers life and it just takes time.. praying and reading your bible,, praying is talking to god, reading your bible is god talking to you.. you just have to listen.. lol
good luck!

"talking" about God isn't all talk

Dear YW,

I hope that as a baby Christian you are also seeking new friends among the community of believers. This will go a long way toward helping you reach old friends. Also your silent witness will speak volumes. With your old friends, begin to work in the everyday experiences you have with Christ. For example you might say " I was reading in my Bible about loving my neighbor but I don't even particularly like them. What do you think?"

Small steps are actually very big ones and take joy in those. The more you live your witness, the more you'll be able to talk about it. And don't feel like you have to always have an answer. Jesus often took questions and replied with a question because he knew there was someelse behind the first question.

God bless you for even wanting to talk about Jesus/God!

Why do you want pray to friends from other people?!
Haven't you got any friends you can pray for???

how to talk about Jesus to a friend

As a young struggling Christian it is the same for us old struggling
Christians. We must first forget about living day to day for anything except
to be in God's will. God will use you even if you don't want to be used. The
Bible tells us that we are not our own. If we rebel to an extreme, the Bible
also tells us that those people will become reprobate. This means that they
will meet their own demise and eventually put our witness to shame and God
will one way or another take us out of this world - which like I said, is
usually because of that reprobate putting him/herself down a path of self
destruction (like if you do drugs you will probably die from some
cause/effect of such behavior). Anyway, I don't think any of that applies to
you. Just read your Bible daily and be confident that what you read is true.
Don't be afraid for your friends to the point of that fear shakes your
foundation and you lose your confidence in what God can do over time. Just
because your friends don't come to Christ immediately doesn't mean that God
has not heard your prayers or that he isn't working in their hearts. Just
rest in his word and don't let daily schedules and interruptions sway you
from getting into your Bible reading. That's the key. Memorizing what you
read always helps you know what to say to people as you try to think of ways
to respond to their ideas and topics. If they don't agree then just let it
go. You will have done "God's will." I hope this helps you. God Bless.

hey

heya im new on this but i've been saved 4 about 3 years. my best friends
brother is amazing at witnessing. i think it would be hard to just witness to
your friends, but he does it an more. he is one of the people i admire most &
thats the major reason. he can witness to anyone anywhere. last year he went
to new york and witnessed to people on the streets. i have been wanting to go
with him but haven't been able to yet. i think your doing a good job already.
some people are 2 scared even to try or havent even thought about witnessing
to their friends. i was in las vegas this last week and i met a guy handing
out tracks to people there. i thought he was really brave to do it on the
streets of vegas. i hope you can get thru to your friends WIN SOULS 4
